I had spoken to Mr. Joseph Sunseri, Supervisor Bureau of Automotive Repair, Department of Consumer Affairs- San Jose Feild Office Complaint # SJ 2020 **** Your Mechanic is a mobile service that installs new brake pads on top of a warped rotor for $158.77 on 2/25/2020.

Their mechanics are incompetent scammers, I had to deal with brake loud noises and brake issues. If you put new brake pads are put onto a vehicle with damaged rotors, the pad will not properly contact the rotor surface which will reduce the vehicle's stopping ability. Deep grooves that have developed in a worn rotor will act as a hole-puncher or shredder and damage the pad material as it is pressed against the rotor. Your Mechanic installs new brake pads on top of a warped rotor and my brakes made loud noises too.

You can hear me coming down the street.I discovered from professional and honest mechanics who have shops, that you may not have to replace rotors. Pep Boys inspectionBrake rotors must meet a certain thickness requirement to be considered safe. If they are thinner than the manufacturer's recommended thickness, then you need to replace your brake rotors immediately. Some vehicles always require new pads and rotors because the rotors cannot be resurfaced.

Therefore, Your Mechanic is a mobile mechanic they do not have a shop to resurface the rotors or shaved the brake pads, Your Mechanic should have put new rotors on my car.Capital one bank favored Your Mechanic as they did not have a third-party mechanic. Capital one bank and Your Mechanic both are members under the Better Business Bureau (BBB). The BBB is not a government organization however a business organization and they get paid by business-like Capital One and Your Mechanic to give them high ratings. The Better Business Bureau has been under investigation about their ratings according to the CNN Money investigation report.

BBB is giving both Capital one bank and Your Mechanic A+ ratings for membership fees. Both Capital one bank and Your Mechanic has a lot of negative reviews and complaints covered by BBB. However, a report found that some businesses with high BBB ratings were being investigated for fraud or other illegal behavior. The BBB uses its own accreditation standards, which are built on the BBB Standards for Trust. These eight principles "summarize important elements of creating and maintaining trust in business.

โ€œBeing a BBB-accredited business can cost companies more than $10,000 a year. Capital one bank is protecting Your Mechanic reputation to hide the scam of customers for $158.77 for poor and incompetent brake jobs. The Better Business Bureau President McFarland sent me an email that Your Mechanic is going to return my money $158.77 by July 31, 2020. Your Mechanic never did because the Better Business Bureau is a business organization, not a government organization. Does BBB still gives Your Mechanic high ratings?

Will BBB still take money from Your Mechanic? Yes, which means Better Business Bureau does not care about the customers they only care about their pockets, corruption. Do not trust BBB ratings! What I discovered about Capital one bank as I am a customer on August 17, 2020, they have a class-action lawsuit against which I am apart off. Capital, one breached its contract with accountholders and improperly assessed and collected fees when accountholders used a non-Capital One ATM to check an account balance.

United States District Court for the Southern District of California, located at 333 West Broadway, Suite 420, San Diego, CA 92101. This is the kind of bank I dealt with to resolve my claims with Your Mechanic, a scam mobile mechanic? Too much corruption with banks and businesses in America.I was told by Mr. Sunsuri, that he can't force Your Mechanic to return my refund of $158.77 even though he agrees with me that Your Mechanic is not equipped to do brake jobs due to being mobile and don't have the proper equipment.

Then I was told by Gary Soto because I live in Maryland they can't investigate my claim. As a consumer, we deserve better from scammers!CC: State of Maryland Attorney General Office Consumers Affairs Department of Justice Federal Trade Commission

I had received a letter from the BBB President stating that Your Mechanic would return the funds of $158.77. Then the BBB President provided me an email from Your Mechanic owner stating that they would return the funds back to me.

I was not sent any funds of $158.77.I am SSDI and for a company, Your Mechanic to scam and steal funds from a person is immoral and deceptive. Your Mechanic is a paying member of the Better Business Bureau. Then I filed a complaint through my bank Capital One Bank and their dispute process is deceptive. Before the dispute was decided Your Mechanic already was told that they would keep the $158.77.

I discovered that Capital One Bank is a member of BBB and was deceptive in the decision as my second mechanic Pep Boys inform the Capital One Bank dispute department did not use a third party mechanic as part of their decision that Your Mechanic installs new brakes on top of a bad rotor. Capital One specializes in banks not mechanics on cars.Better Business Bureau (BBB) has been under investigation about their ratings according to the CNN Money investigation report.

Capital one bank is protecting Your Mechanic reputation to scam a customer for $158.77.

BBB has been investigated regarding their rating system with businesses that scam customers.I provided emails with the communication of the scams; Your Mechanic wrote an email to the BBB President in San Jose that they want to return my funds by July 31st, 2020. In the meantime. Your Mechanic wrote to Capital One Bank dispute department not to return my funds. In addition, I provided an email that the BBB President inform me Your Mechanic is going to return my funds of $158.77 at the end of July.

Capital One Bank favored Your Mechanic false evidence provided because they both members of the Better Business Bureau. Capital one bank supposes to be advocating for me, my funds, and protecting me from scammers. Capital One Bank policies and their dispute department are fraudulent because they are serving their self-interest, Your Mechanic, and BBB. Capital one bank failed to disclose that Your Mechanic is in the same member organization Better Business Bureau that is why Capital one bank demonstrates such biases in their decision making.

First, they told me that I must get another inspection report from a mechanic, which I have done. Capital one informs me that I refuse diagnostic testing from Your Mechanic I provided proof of all the emails and phone calls requesting diagnostic testing. Your Mechanic customer service hangs up the phone on me and refuse to answer any of my email request. Then Capital one states that Your Mechanic is not in error, what does that mean?

Your mechanic inspection report indicates a warped rotor. Your Mechanic install brakes on top of the warped rotor.Capital One dispute process policies and practices I began to question. Capital One bank is not a professional mechanic and how could they determine that Your Mechanic installing brakes on top of a warped rotor could not cause issues with my car? Capital one bank refuses to provide me the analysis and determination of their decision including a third-party professional mechanic they included to review the dispute process and provide me a copy. The system protects scams like Your Mechanic who scam me for $158.77 and then failed to honor their own warranty.

They have the worst customer service and hire incompetent mechanics. Your Mechanic is not a mechanic mobile service I would ever trust for difficult jobs or for any brake services. Your Mechanic has a lot of negative ratings and please don't trust them.

Your Mechanic is a corrupted and scam artist. Do not trust this company!!

YOUR MECHANIC COMMUNICATING WITH BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND CAPITAL ONE BANKYour Mechanic is stating one thing to Capital One Bank and stating another with Better Business Bureau, being deceitful and dishonest. On Better Business Bureau Website Case #768440 on 5/7/2020 Your Mechanic made a statement that my claim was on file and to contact them to make an appointment for diagnostic. I called and sent an email to Your Mechanic who refused to come out or respond (see attached) to the emails dated 5/8/2020, 5/9/2020, and 5/19/2020.On 6/14/2020 Better Business Bureau website CASE#: 768440 Your mechanic admitted to them that they had to restrict their policies.

Your mechanic states that they are abiding by the consumer's financial bank claim for a refund of $158.77. Therefore, your mechanic has forbidden the diagnostic request due to my filing a claim with my bank on 4/21/2020. On 6/14/2020 Your mechanic statement: โ€œWe appreciate the consumer's continued correspondence and patience. Upon review of the consumer's account, the consumer has filed a dispute with their financial institution.

When a dispute is filed, our policy is to deflect to the decision of the financial institution, given that they review the evidence provided from the consumer and our dispute resolution team. Moreover, when a dispute is opened on behalf of a consumer, we are unable to make adjustments or refunds while the dispute is reviewed; the ultimate decision will be made by the consumer's financial institution on whether the assessed charges are valid. We will continue to work with the consumer's bank (See attached) Your mechanic refuse diagnostic, warranty, and/ or a refund on 6/14/2020 on the Better Business Bureau website. On Better Business Bureau case 768440 website on 7/4/2020 Your mechanic made such statement: that they have a policy to a consumer, on multiple occasions, and we respectfully reiterate that, upon review of the consumer's account, the consumer has filed a dispute with their financial institution. When a dispute is filed, our policy is to deflect to the decision of the financial institution, given that they review the evidence provided by the consumer and our dispute resolution team.

Moreover, when a dispute is opened on behalf of a consumer, we are unable to make adjustments or refunds while the dispute is reviewed; the ultimate decision will be made by the consumer's financial institution on whether the assessed charges are valid. The appropriate colleague(s) will continue to work with the consumer's bank. It is important to note that this is a policy that is applicable to all consumers and is not personal. In fact, we have no ability to override the lock on consumer funds once a dispute is opened.

(See attached)Your mechanic refuses diagnostic, warranty, and/ or a refund on 7/7/2020 on the Better Business Bureau website.I sent several warranties request on April 15, 2020, May 8, 2020, and May 18, 2020, and Your Mechanic refused to answer my emails. It states on their website to make warranty claims you can send an email to warranty@***.com (see attached).

I called and left messages, Your mechanic refused to answer my calls. Your Mechanic scams their customers.

I had to contact my bank to stop payment. Pep Boys inspected my car and found that Your mechanic had done a poor repair job to my car.The Better Business Bureau of San Jose do not resolve Your mechanic issues with customers.

BBB gets paid by Your mechanic to maintain high ratings.

It was a waste of time trying to get my issue resolved by BBB. BBB is not a government organization however a business organization, can't force a business to practice honesty with customers.I filed several complaints about Your mechanic with government organizations to hold them accountable.

I called to schedule an appointment to install new brake pads for the front brakes. Your mechanic sent a mechanic who installs new brake pads on top of a warped rotor.

Then my tire rim is bent and now my tire rim was damaged, this was discovered by Pep boys mechanic.

I went to Pep Boys and the mechanic inspected and discovered my back brakes need new brake pads, rotors, and capillaries. I had to replace the front brake pads and rotors, too.

Now I have to replace a tire and now the tire rim was damaged by Your mechanic.

Your mechanic refused to honor their own warranty for the installation of the front brake pads. Your mechanic is dishonest, poor customer service, and some of their mechanics are incompetent.

User's recommendation: Spend extra money to get your brakes repair somewhere else. Your mechanic is good for changing spark plugs easier jobs or changing bulbs.

Monetary Loss: $159.

YourMechanic Pros: Come to your home for easy jobs.

YourMechanic Cons: Not standing by your 1 year warranty, Poor ethics and poor customer service, Vague inferrences to warranty, Do not communicate with customers.
